league ended last night....in a BIG way for me.  231, 248, 259!!!  for a 738!!!  that's my career high series!  even though we ended the season in 2nd to last, and couldn't change that going into last night, we absolutely slobber-knocked the first place team all 4 games.  won by 50-something in the first game, 210 in the middle game, and 130 or so in the last game. 

I had 2 minor mistakes the entire night.  first game early on, I sailed a shot way out too far to the right, leaving a 1-2-8-10.  I threw the spare shot as well as I could have, knicking the left of the head pin and shooting it at the 10, but it bounced right around it.  that was my only open of the night.  the other mistake cost me 30 pins on that middle game....imagine if that had been a 278!!!  my foot stuck at the line in the 3rd frame, after 2 strikes, and I fell to the right....all the momentum was headed that way and as soon as I let go of the ball I knew I was in trouble....threw a first ball gutter for the first time in a loooooooong time.  but I picked up the spare and got right back on a string....it would have been the first 8 if that had been a strike instead of a spare.....but you'll never hear this bowler complain about a 738 series!

so here's how the last 4 weeks went for me:  2685 pins in 12 games, for an average of 223.75!  hot damn.....talk about some momentum going into the off season!

185, 214,191 for a 590 last night.  held average.....not quite as good as what I'd gotten the past couple weeks, but not nearly as bad as January was.  Just missed too many stupid spares.....it really could have been a solid 630 or so but I shot myself in the foot.  the other team didn't show up so we were marathon bowling....hardly ever had the chance to sit down between balls, and I just got rushed and made some mental mistakes a couple of times.  One more week of league and I'll start prepping for some tournaments this summer.....
